Park
Farm, Ashford
Our involvement in this
new community development in the south east sector
of Ashford has extended over a 15-year period, with
more than 2000 homes completed and a further 750
recently approved through the Local Plan process.
We prepared all the transportation
and drainage assessments needed to secure planning
permission, devised services and drainage strategies
for the site, which lies in the flood plain of the
River Stour, designed the highway network, negotiated
approvals and coordinated infrastructure within the
framework of the master plan.
The new infrastructure to serve
Park Farm included a major upgrading of a junction
with the M20 motorway, a rail halt, a new access
roundabout on a trunk road and the internal network
of roads, footpaths and cycleways required to support
the homes and community facilities, including a local
centre, school and superstore.
Park Farm exemplifies our ability
to design and deliver the infrastructure needed to
serve large community developments, progressing them
through initial assessment and the Local Plan process
to phased completion over time.
